In our second Product Roadmap of the year, we highlight some of the recent additions to Cognitive Credit products and services, and look ahead at what’s to come in the second half of the year.
At Cognitive Credit, we’re always striving to improve our products.
Through direct engagement with our clients and feedback from the wider market, we’re constantly developing new features and functionality to help credit analysts complete their day-to-day, more efficiently. And we make a point of delivering these features on schedule, according to our roadmap.
As new features are added to the roadmap, our Product and Engineering teams work to deliver them in quarterly sprints. In this recurring post, we round-up all the latest improvements and additions to our suite of products delivered in the previous 6 months – and offer a sneak peak of what’s to come in the months ahead.
Our current Product Roadmap
1H24: Now available in-app
Earnings Summary (in-app)
The first quarter of 2024 saw the delivery of two new Earnings Summary features. The first release added a concise summary of key metrics for every issuer in-app to the Company Description page. This summary is updated in real-time as new earnings are reported, giving users a convenient “at a glance” for every issuer.
Earnings Summary (email alert)
The second Earnings Summary release saw us completely revamp our Earnings Email Alert. Previously, this notification included no earnings data and prompted the user to visit the full financials in-app to learn more. Our new notification includes an algorithmically generated summary of the latest earnings figures, delivered directly to your inbox. To learn more about these features, check out our Earnings Summary post.
Excel Add-in
In Q2, we released the latest addition to our product suite with our Excel Add-in. Popular with clients, this new product allows users to pull any financial measure or metric from our Application directly into your Excel models, and refresh them instantly whenever new reporting is available. To learn more, check out our Excel Add-in launch post.
Most viewed issuers
The latest release is our Most Viewed feature now available in-app. This simple but powerful widget provides a convenient listing of the most viewed issuers in whatever coverage universe you are viewing, based on a rolling 7-day basis and updated daily and including change versus the previous day. Be sure to follow us on LinkedIn for weekly snapshots of the most viewed issuers in our coverage universes.
Coming soon: 2H24
US 144A coverage
The first release of 2H24 will be the addition of private issuers to our existing US High Yield data license. This expansion will include detailed financials of the 200+ names in the US High Yield benchmark where earnings information is not publicly available. We’ve already begun bilaterally processing data for 144A / Restricted names for our existing clients, and access to these names will require evidence of the appropriate permissions from the issuer.
Leveraged loan coverage
Our second planned data expansion will bring coverage of the Leveraged Loan universe to the Cognitive Credit app. This will include full financials for US and European Leveraged Loan names available in an additional data license. As with our US 144A coverage, access to this data will depend on the relevant issuer permissions.
Customizable Comparables
3Q24 will also see some improvements to our Comparables screen. One of the most powerful features in-app, we will introduce the customization functionality found in our Financials to our Comparables views. This will allow users to tailor, save and recall a view at Company, Sector and Market level.
Knowledge Base
Specifically for clients, we’ll also be releasing an online Knowledge Base in 3Q24 for our suite of products. Featuring a fully searchable library of help articles, onboarding guides and video tutorials, this online repository will offer on-demand support and training for all clients going forward.
Excel Add-in enhancements
The final release of 2024 will see the first major update to our Excel Add-in. Developed in conjunction with our Add-in user base, this release will see a cohort of additional financial measures made available through the Excel Add-in. We expect this to be one of many enhancements throughout 2025.
