Product Roadmap Update: 1Q25

In our first Product Roadmap of 2025, we highlight some of the recent additions to Cognitive Credit products and services and take a sneak peak at what’s to come in Q2.

At Cognitive Credit, we’re always striving to improve our products.

Through a mix of direct engagement with our clients and feedback from the wider market, we’re constantly developing new features and functionality to help credit teams work more efficiently and maximize performance.

Like most technology firms, we develop and deliver features according to a strict roadmap. As new features are added to the roadmap, our product and engineering teams work to deliver them in quarterly sprints.

As each sprint ends, we’ll use this quarterly blog post to round-up all the latest additions to the application delivered in the previous quarters - and offer a sneak peak of what’s to come in the months ahead.

2024

Knowledge Base (Live)
Our online knowledge base launched in Q3 2024 is a dedicated resource center for our clients. Containing a fully searchable library of FAQs, technical specifications, onboarding guides and video tutorials.

Excel Add-in enhancements (Live)
Following the release of our Excel Add-in earlier in 2024, we immediately started work on the next wave of enhancements to make it as complete as possible. In November 2024, we added 16 new measures to the Add-in across the Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement and Balance Sheet, giving our clients the option to pull even more data directly into their Excel models. For more on the Excel Add-in, go here.

Persisting Comparables (Live)
The Comparables feature in-app is one of our most powerful analytical tools. Aggregating all the data we process at a Company, Market and Sector level, it gives clients a top-down and bottom-up view for their research. At the end of 2024, we upgraded the user experience of this feature that automatically saves the user’s selected view, allowing them to seamlessly resume a session wherever they left off.

2025

Leveraged Loans coverage (Live)
Our first major of 2025 was the addition of Leveraged Loan coverage to our data sets. Featuring an initial rollout of over 750 public and private issuers, these data sets offer our signature level of accuracy, speed and detail that only Cognitive Credit can deliver for your research – extended to US and European Leveraged Loan markets. Crucially, we are also now able to offer coverage of private names on a bilateral basis with clients - a vital stepping stone to our next major release in 2025. API enhancements (Coming soon)
The next imminent release of 2025 will see the addition of Historical Earnings Dates to both tiers of our API service. Requested by our clients, this feature is designed specifically to help Quant teams generate point-in-time historical data sets, and backtest and optimize their trading algorithms.

Restricted Access Names (Coming soon)
Our next major release of 2025 concerns how Restricted Access Names are accessed via our web app. This brand new feature will allow for private issuers to be discoverable within our web-app via the Companies screen. Clients will be able to gain access to the underlying models & documents for those names by uploading the relevant documentation via a new self-service portal in our web-app, making private names quickly and conveniently accessible for those with the relevant permissions. This feature will be rolled out in 2Q 2025.
